How to get to us: the specialist clinic treating you will offer you an inpatient stay at Inselspital. As a patient with supplementary insurance, you’ll be automatically assigned to the Insel Premium ward*. If you’d like us to help you with any administrative matters relating to your supplementary insurance, just ask.
It’s important to us that you feel well looked after and prepared for every inpatient stay. The specialist of your choice will therefore be available for any consultations or preliminary discussions before you’re admitted. We’ll also do our best to arrange appointments to suit your preferences.
To ensure patients with supplementary insurance arrive feeling relaxed, we offer free travel on public transport within the Libero network. Your Libero ticket will be included in your invitation to your appointment. Alternatively, you can park for free in the Insel car park or directly in the Anna-Seiler car park on the day of admission/discharge.
* Exceptions: children, women who have recently given birth, patients with medical contraindications (e.g. compulsory isolation) or special infrastructural requirements, self-payers with a room upgrade only, as well as outpatients and rehabilitation patients.
Insel Premium is located on the top floor of the Anna-Seiler-Haus. Upon admission, the Hospitality Service (semi-private) or the Guest Relations team (private) will welcome you personally and escort you to your single or twin room. There you’ll find a welcome gift along with an impressive view. A bathrobe and slippers are also available on request to ensure maximum comfort.
As a university hospital and centre of medical expertise, Inselspital offers the widest possible selection of highly qualified specialists. What makes Insel Premium so special is that you get to choose your specialist yourself. They will look after you personally throughout your stay. Day-to-day care-giving tasks will be handled by your personal patient care coordinator. Thanks to such personalised care and support, you’ll feel safe and secure.
Insel Premium also lets you have a say in arranging your own daily schedule. Our nurses and therapists will take your preferences into account when planning your treatment.
Between treatments, you can enjoy the impressive view and treat yourself to some culinary delights – including from the dessert trolley, which makes the rounds with sweet treats in the afternoon. Alternatively, you can browse through the numerous magazines and newspapers in the lounge over a cup of coffee or tea.
Our lounge is open to visitors, too. You can enjoy unrestricted visiting hours in the Insel Premium ward by agreement with the nursing manager.
You have free access to a wide range of digital media including Sports Pay TV, digital magazines and newspapers. With private supplementary insurance, you can choose from video on demand, e-books and audio plays, too. Choose what’s good for you.
